The relief of Spain

Hello again!

We have just started a new unit about the landscapes of Spain.

The relief is the shape of Earth's surface.In Spain we can find 4 different lanforms:

• PLATEAUS: Meseta Central is a great elevated plain. Divided into Submeseta Norte and Submeseta Sur.

• DEPRESSIONS: areas of low land crossed by rivers.
• Depresión del Ebro.
• Depresión del Guadalquivir.

• ARCHIPELAGOS: 2 main archipelagos in the relief of Spain.
• Balearic Islands
• Canary Islands

• MOUNTAINS WITHIN THE MESETA: Sistema Central and Montes de Toledo.

• MOUNTAINS SURROUNDING THE MESETA: The Sistema Ibérico, Sierra Morena and the Cordillera Cantábrica.

• MOUNTAINS OUTSIDE THE MESETA: The Pyrenees and the Sistemas Béticos.
